Materials & packaging

Choosing sustainable packaging solutions and materials is essential to reduce our environmental impact and preserve the planet's resources. We therefore always try to find and work with materials that are recyclable, biodegradable or recycled to reduce waste and preserve nature for future generations.

Materials & packaging

Product packaging

Our packaging requirements meet the highest standards for cosmetic products and go through all the necessary tests. The plastic in our bottles consists of 30% recycled plastic, which means it is a mix of new and recycled plastic. We have chosen a light-colored polypropylene (PP) bottle that can be easily recycled. The bottle is light as we want to minimize the amount of material used and it is more environmentally friendly to transport as it weighs less.

Product card

To reduce material consumption, we have made an active decision not to have a cardboard box that our products are in, but instead have chosen to make a product information card. There we have the information that is important for you as a customer and that the regulations for cosmetic products require.

Our cards are printed on FSC-labeled paper. FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council and is an independent, international membership organization. Certified companies follow FSC's rules, known as standards for forest management and traceability. Those who follow the rules can label their products with the FSC trademark. The FSC label allows consumers and businesses to choose wood products that come from from responsible forestry practices that respect people and the environment.

Shipping box

We have chosen a shipping box that, like our product information card, is FSC-labeled. To reduce material consumption, we have chosen to have as small a shipping box as possible. It just holds our products and product information card. More is not needed and thanks to this, we do not need to transport air, a small shipping box takes up less space during transport, which means that the transport company can transport more at a time, which leads to less emissions.

We have decided not to develop and sell products for which we do not see a real need. What we like to use when we wash our face in the evening is a hair band to make it easier to wash and moisturize our face and neck, a cloth bag for grocery shopping and a fridge rack so you can easily store our products in your fridge.

Headbands

Our climate-smart hairband consists of 100 percent recycled terry from hotel towels. We have designed and developed the hairband together with the Swedish company Reused Remade. By reusing an already manufactured material, we can reduce our environmental impact as emissions and energy use are significantly reduced.

ReusedRemade does a fantastic job of reusing textiles that would otherwise be thrown away, read more on their website.

Cloth bag

Our fine fabric bags are made from 100% recycled hotel sheets. We have also designed and developed these with innovative Reused Remade. The fabric bags have a cotton/polyester mix and water-based printing, which means that they can be washed in 40° machine wash and hang-dried or tumble-dried. Slight variations in the fabric may occur between bags as we use a recycled material.

Refrigerator racks

Our fridge rack is made of biodegradable plastic and developed in collaboration with the innovative Swedish 3D company Lostboyslab, which aims to combat the global plastic litter crisis by using only recycled materials. The material of the fridge racks is 100% recycled PLA plastic from disposable items made from corn starch.
